Adult Matric - Amended Senior Certificate (ASC)
It is never too late to get the education you deserve! With College SA, you can now complete Adult Matric with our Senior Certificate (as Amended) programme.
What you need to qualify
If you are 21 years or older and have either a GETC or a Grade 9 (Standard 7) report stating you’ve passed the year, or a recognised equivalent at NQF level 1 with two official languages, you qualify for entry.

Completing Adult Matric
To complete your Adult Matric, you need to pass six subjects, two of which must be official languages. We recommend the following subjects:
- Business Studies
- Life Sciences
- Mathematical Literacy
- English (Home or First Additional Language)
- Afrikaans ((Home or First Additional Language) OR isiZulu (Home Language)

21 + Years
You need to be 21 years or older to enrol for the Amended Senior Certificate programme.
You will need access to the internet via a computer or smartphone to complete your activities in the online classroom.
You must register for the ASC examinations at a Department of Education examination centre in your area before the cut-off date.
The ASC examinations take place only once a year. Usually in June/July.
