The ICB National Certificate in Bookkeeping is an NQF Level 3 qualification. To complete this course, you have to work through four subjects, namely Bookkeeping to Trial Balance, Payroll and Monthly SARS Returns, Computerised Bookkeeping and Business Literacy. 

These four subjects will teach you how to perform various bookkeeping tasks including monthly bookkeeping to trial balance, how to disclose profit and financial position, reconcile suppliers, manage inventory and bank statements etc.

Study the Intermediate Level: Further Education and Training Certificate in Bookkeeping course

The ICB Further Education and Training Certificate in Bookkeeping is an NQF level 4 qualification. This course only has two subjects: Financial Statements and Cost and Management Accounting. This course builds on the National Certificate in Bookkeeping course, which means that you first have to complete the National Certificate in Bookkeeping course before you can start with this course. 

Entrance requirements for this course: Successful completion of the Foundation Level: National Certificate in Bookkeeping.

Study the Upper Intermediate Level: National Diploma in Technical Financial Accounting course

(NQF Level 5 | SAQA ID: 36213)

The ICB National Diploma in Technical Financial Accounting course is an NQF level 5 qualification. This course is made up out of two subjects: Income Tax Returns and Business Law and Accounting Control. To register for this course, you first have to complete the National Certificate in Bookkeeping and Further Education and Training Certificate in Bookkeeping courses.    

Entrance requirements for this course: Successful completion of the Intermediate Level: Further Education and Training Certificate in Bookkeeping course.

Study the Advanced Level: National Diploma in Financial Accounting course

(NQF Level 6 | SAQA ID: 20366) 

The ICB National Diploma in Financial Accounting course is the last course in the Financial Accounting programme. To register for this course, you have to have already completed the other three levels. Once you complete this course, you will be able to complete a full set of accounts for a financial year.   

This qualification will enable you to apply for a professional financial accountant position.  

Entrance requirements for this course: Successful completion of the Upper Intermediate Level: National Diploma in Technical Finance Accounting course.
