College SA offers the Amended Senior Certificate (ASC) programme
We are proud to announce that College SA now offers the Amended Senior Certificate programme. The Amended Senior Certificate is the equivalent to the National Senior Certificate (NSC) also known as matric.
The college has joined forces with Matric Works to meet the demand for adult matric in South Africa. Matric Works is an adult matric learning programme for individuals who are over the age of 21 and have not completed their Grade 12.
The Matric Works programme (which follows a CAPS-aligned curriculum) was initially launched in 2016 by one of South Africa’s leading Adult Education and Training (AET) providers called Media Works. Since then, they have helped thousands of adults achieve their Amended Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
MORE ABOUT THE AMENDED SENIOR CERTIFICATE
The Amended Senior Certificate is a programme that is specifically designed for adults who did not complete or pass their Grade 12.
Almost two-thirds of South African adults have not completed or passed their Grade 12. This means that many of our young adults will struggle to get a job or might not even get a job at all.
To minimise the number of unemployed adults in South Africa, the Department of Education introduced the Amended Senior Certificate programme. The ASC programme is specifically aimed at adults and out-of-school learners that want to obtain their matric equivalent.
The Amended Senior Certificate is recognised by employers and various tertiary education institutions, which means not only can students qualify for entry-level jobs, but they can also further their education and take control of their future.
