Human Resource Management Essentials
You will learn about human resource management as a function within an organisation. Equip yourself with the knowledge of workforce planning and job analysis, the process of recruitment and the role of motivation in the business. Learn how to analyse the role of training and development.
Financial Management Basics
This module is designed to give you a basic understanding of accounting and the processes involved. You will learn about the accounting cycle, income statements, balance sheets, financial statements and budgeting.
Customer Relationship Management
This module you will learn the fundamental skills for customer relationship management. You will understand the principles of market intelligent enterprises and how to effectively create loyal customers. Learn how to develop a successful customer relationship management programme and draw up a plan for implementation considering all factors including costs.
Introduction to Business English
This module covers the different elements and barriers of communication. You will get a general understanding of the communication process. As well as skills and techniques to interpret body language. Improve your speaking, listening, writing, telephone and reading skills. Understand how to work as part of a team, deal with conflict and what business ethics involve.
This module differentiates between management and leadership. You will learn about different leadership styles and how to apply one (or a combination) of these styles to a business department. Professional Salon Skills
You will learn how to effectively communicate (verbally and non-verbally) with clients, present a professional image, deal with client complaints and perform reception duties within a beauty salon. You will also learn how to assess clients and maintain hygiene standards.
Networking for Success
You will learn how to build relationships in business that are mutually beneficial. This module covers the do's and don'ts of networking, nurturing relationships and using the telephone, email and internet for networking purposes.
In this module you will learn about the differences between an entrepreneur, small business manager and an intrapreneur. It will equip you with the key success factors for entrepreneurship and explains the characteristics and important functional management skills that entrepreneurship entails. You will also be introduced to the basic business concepts, business environment and feasible small business ideas.
