What will you learn in this Entrepreneurship: Advanced Level: National Diploma in Financial Accounting course?
Learn how to operate a business at the level of a financial accountant. Learn how to compile annual financial statements. Come to understand personal and business taxation, and gain in-depth knowledge of accounting theory and practice, corporate strategy, and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This course will give you an understanding of the key marketing and management theories, concepts and techniques applicable to businesses and organisations.

- 30% of your final mark comes from your coursework
- 70% of your final mark comes from the final exam

Portfolio of Evidence:
You will receive your POE (Portfolio of Evidence) directly from the ICB offices only when you register for your exam. The PEO will consist of the assignments you have to do during your studies. When you register for your exams, take your POE with and once you’ve completed your exam and added it to the POE, you’re done!
Exams can be written in February, May, August and November each year.

Financial Reporting & Regulatory Frameworks incl. Research Theory & Practice (Dissertation)
This module introduces you to the regulatory framework for accounting, how accounts are prepared, the professional values and ethical standards expected of accountants, and the economic environment in which organisations operate. We also cover how research is conducted in accounting, how to reference information sources, and how to compile a short dissertation.
Financial Management and Control
In this module, you will learn about activity-based costing; cost classification, estimation and behavior; cost-volume-profit analysis; linear programming; standard costing and relevant costs. Learn about pricing policy and transfer pricing, budgeting, and divisional performance evaluation.
ICB Entrepreneurship 3
This module is designed to introduce you to the key fundamentals of how to calculate costing and pricing, how to manage working capital effectively, and how to do proper financial planning and control.
