What are subjects?
Subjects are the particular fields of study that are covered in a course. The subjects below make up this course and will need to be completed in order for you to complete this course.
First Aid - Save a Child
This module teaches you the basics of first aid and CPR. You will also learn what to do if your infant or toddler is unconscious. Learn how to handle medical emergencies like choking, seizures, medical shock etc. Get the skills to treat injury emergencies which include burns, head, neck and spine injuries and broken bones and sprain injuries. You will also learn how to deal with environmental injuries, bites and stings, poisoning as well as drownings.
Communicating with Children
Learn the skills and techniques to help children deal with their feelings. This module briefly explains how to engage cooperation with children and gives you alternative techniques to punishment. It also looks at engaging autonomy and explains the importance of the term praise in childhood.
Learn essential skills and information that anyone who intends to spend time with children should know. This course covers First Aid, essential child and baby care techniques, developmental stimulation, nutrition and feeding of young children.
