You will learn about what determines a culture and the difficulties that arise between cultures. You also learn about barriers in communication (verbal and non-verbal) between cultures and how to overcome them to build good business relationships.
This module differentiates between management and leadership. You will learn about different leadership styles and how to apply one (or a combination) of these styles to a business department. This module discusses how to effectively communicate and motivate employees to increase productivity. You will learn how to understand employee behaviour, how to make decisions , delegate work and evaluate employees.
Human Resource Principles
This module introduces you to human resource management as a profession: it discusses the role of human resources within an organisation with regard to implementing ethical and lawful practices which influence the well-being of employees. This module covers concepts like labour laws, remuneration, health and safety and various psychological theories which impact relations and productivity within an organisation.
