What subjects make up this course:
What are subjects?
Subjects are the particular fields of study that are covered in a course. The subjects below make up this course and will need to be completed in order for you to complete this course.
Mathematics is one of the three compulsory fundamental subjects in the NATED programme. Learn how to solve equations, word problems and manipulate formulae. You will get the skills to do algebraic graphs, trigonometry, logarithms and factorisation. The purpose of this module is to produce a person who can confidently apply mathematics in other disciplines and in real life situations.
Engineering Science N1
In the module you will learn about the laws of physics that provide the background principles required to understand engineering systems. You will cover the following scientific elements: energy, work, power, composition of matter, statics, dynamics and electricity.
Engineering Drawing N1
This module provides the knowledge and skills required to generate 2, 3 and 4-dimensional representation of physical engineering systems from various projections. Learn about the fundamentals of general engineering drawing terms.
Fitting and Machining Theory N1
This module provides the knowledge and skills specifically involved in the assembly of complex machinery. Learn how to use different machinery like grinding machines, drilling machines, shaping machines, milling machines as well as machine cutting tools.
