Can you study further through distance learning institutions like Optimi College with ASC?
Yes you can! The Amended Senior Certificate is the same as a matric certificate that learners get when graduating from high school. You can apply to higher learning institutions or to distance learning programmes.
Do you have to study all subjects for you ASC at once?
No, you can take it one subject at a time. Depending on how much time you have to study, you can decide how many subjects to register for before the exams, which take place every year in June/July.
Do you need to pay for the ASC in one payment?
No you don’t! Optimi College offers you easy-to-manage monthly instalments that will fit into your budget.
How do you get the Amended Senior Certificate?
The entry requirements for ASC:
- Be 21 years or older
- Internet access on a smartphone or laptop
- Register for the ASC examinations online or go a Provincial Education Office
- Have either a certified copy of your ID if you’re South African, or a certified copy of your passport and proof of study permit as a foreign national.
