The Public Sector Accounting Programme is aimed at students who would like to learn how to compile financial statements, conduct internal audits and implement internal controls. This programme will enable you to work in finance in government or municipalities.

 

ICB Office Administration Courses

Become an all-rounder in a business. The Office Administration Programme equips students with the knowledge and skill to work in just about any department in a company.   • Foundation Level - National Certificate: Bookkeeping NQF L3

ICB and Distance Learning

As a College SA distance learning student, you will get all the support you need to pass your ICB course.

You can work through your study material and textbooks on your own and study at your own pace. When you get stuck on a subject or assignment, you can contact our tutors for help.   

After you have completed your ICB course, you can sit your exam at an approved ICB examination centre. There are exam centres across South Africa; Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Western Cape and Namibia.  

Exams can be written throughout the year; February, May, July, September and November.

ICBA Membership

Once you have passed your ICB course, you can apply for ICBA membership. The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and Accountants (ICBA) is a professional body that awards designations to students who have completed an ICB study programme.

In order to qualify for ICBA membership, you:

  • Have to hold an NQF Level 3 or higher professional qualification in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, business or office management.
  • Have the right amount of work experience in the relevant field.
  • Have to prove that you have kept your professional knowledge and skills up to date.
  • Pay an annual ICBA membership fee.
  • It shows that you are professional and serious about your career.
  • You will have a professional designation behind your name.
  • ICBA members get access to a wide range of benefits.
  • It will show employers and other professionals that your knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
